finally some eye-lids [dhead 4]

I've been having a hard time with the "eye area" on my model. Modeling the eye-lids was fine but I did them as a separate piece of geometry. So it took me quite some time to add it on the head and make it look right. Well I'm not that skilled in modeling yet but I managed to do it after all and that's what counts :).

I have also changed the horns to a more interesting shape. They might look a bit unusual or weird but that's how I imagined them from the very begenning. So I let them be ............ unless something changes my mind.

destination Gargano

I'm back after 10 days and two 20-hour-long bus journeys. Successfully survived the bus and enjoyed a nice holiday in Gargano (Southern Italy).

I took lots of photographs obviously, so I thought I'd share a few of the best. ;-)

I've decided to change the shapes of the head a bit more rapidly than you'd propably expected. So from the triangular look I was aiming for something more human like.

But then I finally added the horns :D so you know... I coudn't model a human head. That would be just boring.

I've got a hand !

What a surprise..... I looked at my hand and there it was. So I thought - maybe I could try to draw that weird thing.

I just can't help myself, the fingers remind me of a spider and are too short. Damned fingers ! :D
Well, it's actually my first attempt to draw a realistic hand with an actual Hand before my eyes, so waht the heck :)

small update [dhead 2]

It looks like I haven't done much, but I just took my time and did a lot of changes actualy. So the nose, forehead and mouth are shaping up nicely. Definitely more acurate representation of what I had in mind.

back to my favourite Maya [dhead 1]

Today I had a little fun in Maya while playing with the Sculpt geometry tool. So from a sphere I got to a basic shape of this weird head. I'm plannig to add more details and create a bump map as well as a simple texture.

my first time with SideFX Houdini

I've always wanted to try this application. Looks very interesting and there's no doubt it's very powerfull. So there I was getting familiar with the UI, following one simple tutorial and after all decided to make something small as a test what I can do in a few quick steps.....

so there it is :)

In case you were wondering what is this blog all about, it's just me posting my work in 3D computer graphics and animation. Sometimes I'll posibly post some drawings, simple pictures or even photographs I took as well.

It's mainly for me to keep some track of what I'm doing and to keep me motivated in this kinda weird way......
